Physical Education
Physical Education at Kalgoorlie-Boulder Community High School provides students’ with the opportunity to develop their movement, interpersonal and social skills, knowledge, game strategies, and confidence to enable them to effectively and positively participate in a wide range of sporting contexts. Students also learn about how the body moves; how to approach and resolve challenges; how to optimise movement performance; and the benefits of physical activity to themselves, others and communities.
From Year 7 through to Year 9 students cover a wide range of traditional sports plus Athletics in Term 3 leading up to our Whole School Athletics Carnival. In year 10 the sports covered will vary from class to class depending on the interests of the student group and the resources available, all classes will still cover Athletics in Term 3.

Health Education
Health Education at Kalgoorlie-Boulder Community High School provides opportunities for students to learn how to enhance their health, safety and wellbeing and how they can contribute towards building healthy, safe and active communities. Students are also able to develop skills, self-efficacy and dispositions to advocate for, and positively influence, their own and others' health and wellbeing.

The school also has a Mental Health Week (Week 1 Term 4 14th – 18th October) where various activities are provided to students to engage in. The aim is to develop students awareness of Mental Health and assist them with building up their capacity to maintain positive wellbeing or seek or provide assistance where required.

Choice Classes
Students have a wide variety of choice subjects that they are able to select from. These include:

AFL Football Program
The Kalgoorlie-Boulder Community High School AFL Football Program is a talent, behaviour and academic based opportunity for our year 8 and 9 students. The programs aim is to engage our boys and girls in the class room and reward them with the opportunity to represent the school in interschool games, tournaments and camps throughout the year. It is a privilege that is earnt through hard work and behaviour. The goal for our students involved in the program is for them to improve their football skills, behaviour, build leadership qualities and importantly experience success in the classroom.
